The Women’s IPPT

Singapore's first ever nationwide all-women IPPT

Every year, Singaporean men around the country train to pass their Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT). There is an expectation on them to keep fit because of compulsory National Service.

Women, on the other hand, do not have to take the IPPT. In fact, fewer women meet their weekly targets for recommended physical activity and keep fit than men.

As the Life Company, we wanted to change that. It's why we organised Singapore's first ever nationwide all-women IPPT to help women gauge their fitness level and start planning for their health in the long run. Almost 600 women took part, allowing us to enter the Singapore Book of Records! We received coverage from all of Singapore’s largest newspapers, the Straits Times & The New Paper, Yahoo! and many other online news outlets.
